Malori Aslan Smith
Malori Aslan Smith was born January 3rd, 1985 and died on June 30, 2002 while on a mission Aslan's Army, the missionary support network, has been launched to carry out the vision of Malori Aslan Smith. Before Malori died, she wrote about starting a worldwide missions organization that would use performing arts to reach the lost. "My dream of changing the world is becoming more and more tangible every day. Maybe I'll start a ministry of making up human videos, dramas and mimes, videoing them and sending the videos to other ministries for them to learn," wrote Malori. In addition, Malori wanted to be involved with sending out missionaries and supporting missionary support organizations. "A lady had a word for me that my writing, poetry, and publishing would somehow be used in my ministry. She couldn't tell me what, when or anything. But that my poetry would be pointed to God and my writings would help and minister to others. Just another interesting piece to my puzzle of life," wrote Malori. Aslan's Army has been created to fulfill Malori's vision: to reach the lost by supporting missionaries and the organizations that support them through the performing arts, relationships, the Internet, funding, prayer, and Malori's writings.
